The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered equipment and vehicles used in dredging The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and The Fabricator is responsible for supporting fabrication shop operations through advanced welding, fabrication, mechanical repair, and equipment maintenance. This includes everything from reading blueprints and completing fabrication assemblies to performing mechanical repairs on dredges and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate has strong welding and mechanical skills and can work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Job Details

• Perform Stick, MIG, TIG, and Dual Shield welding and operate torch, plasma, and carbon-arc cutting equipment.
• Read blueprints and complete fabrication layouts, assemblies, and work orders with minimal supervision.
• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on dredges and heavy equipment.
• Setup and operate fabrication shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work is primarily shop-based but must be willing to travel occasionally to field job sites for repairs and installation support.
• Must possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to plan and execute fabrication projects independently.
• Ability to support and mentor junior fabricators and mechanics while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Candidate must be honest, hardworking, and drug-free with a valid driver’s license. Must be a team player capable of working independently, taking direction, and prioritizing work efficiently. 3–5 years of welding and fabrication experience required. OSHA or welding certifications preferred.
